During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Belarus showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a significant increase in both revenue and user engagement. Revenue started modestly at around $26 in early April and climbed steadily, peaking at $113 by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, starting at approximately 10.8K in the first week of April and reaching nearly 14.9K by the last week of June. Weekly active users (WAU) also saw a general increase, beginning at around 414K and peaking at approximately 445K in mid-June.

Yandex Navigator also showed growth, particularly in revenue and downloads. Revenue increased from $31 at the start of April to $127 by the end of June. Downloads showed a steady rise, starting at around 5.8K and reaching approximately 7.9K by the last week of June. WAU saw fluctuations, starting at about 117K in early April, peaking at 152K in mid-June, and ending around 135K by the end of the quarter.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent performance in terms of downloads and WAU. Downloads ranged from approximately 4.8K to 6.8K throughout the quarter, with a slight peak in mid-April. WAU remained relatively stable but showed a gradual increase from around 160K at the beginning of April to about 186K by the end of June.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation saw a notable fluctuation in downloads. Starting at around 530 in early April, downloads peaked at approximately 5.4K in late May before stabilizing around 1.7K by the end of June. WAU demonstrated a similar pattern, beginning at about 53K, peaking at nearly 66K in late May, and ending at around 62K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Live Earth Map: GPS Navigation showed significant growth in downloads and user engagement. Downloads surged from around 160 in early April to approximately 2.8K by early June, before settling around 1.2K by the end of the quarter. WAU increased from about 2.5K to a peak of approximately 7.4K in early June, ending around 6.6K by late June.
